Made of hand-blown Murano glass, the Battuto Bicolore Venini vase is part of the Battuto Bicolore collection.
The Battuto Bicolore Venini vase belongs to the Battuto Bicolore collection, designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1940. The surface is worked using the battuto and engraving techniques: in the upper part small facets recall a cluster of bubbles, while below the engravings evoke the movement of waves.
Its archaic, compact shape and the contrast between the two colours, reminiscent of fire and sea, make this piece a small talisman. The vase is hand-blown and shaped in Italy by the Murano master glassmakers. Each piece is numbered by year of production, and the variations between pieces, part of the artisanal process, make it unique.
