Design by Buratti Architetti
Frame-Shift is the modular bookshelf designed by architects Oscar and Gabriele Buratti for Moroso. An essential system composed of a few vertically stacked elements, ideal for creating horizontal compositions with strong visual impact. Sliding doors and back panels can be freely positioned and moved, playing with solids and voids to create a dynamic, refined look. The dual-side rail, with its sophisticated design, enhances the elegance of the piece in all configurations.
Frame-Shift offers maximum compositional flexibility: from 2 to 5 stacked shelves supported by a lightweight metal structure. Thanks to the sliding doors, which can be mounted on both sides, the bookshelf can be placed against a wall or in the center of the room. Ideal as a low TV unit, sideboard, room divider or vertical bookcase, it adapts elegantly to contemporary interiors.
The shelves are always made of wood, while the longitudinal profiles in extruded aluminum serve as tracks for attaching and sliding the doors. The slim profile gives the bookshelf a minimal and lightweight look. Each shelf can accommodate one door per side, available in a range of finishes: two glossy lacquers (white, black), two matte colors (Shell, Agata), and Stop-sol silver glass.
