Designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1940 and inspired by nature, the Battuto a Nido d'Ape Venini vase has a wavy, non-linear form. Its surface, cold-worked by the master glassmakers using the battuto technique, creates a honeycomb pattern reminiscent of ancient handmade textiles.
The vase is hand-crafted in Italy by the Murano master glassmakers. Each piece is numbered by year of production, and the variations between pieces, typical of the artisanal process, make it unique.
