Where Are My Glasses Single Lens Venini Vase 777.51
The Where Are My Glasses Single Lens Venini vase belongs to the Where Are My Glasses? collection, designed by Ron Arad for Venini in 2018. The project grew out of the designer's playful idea: after sketches, models and renderings, Venini's master glassmakers blew molten glass directly into an iron eyeglass frame, which remains set into the vase.
In the Single Lens version the neck of the vase passes through only one of the two lenses, while the other stays empty and the temples run down the body of the vase. The hand-blown shape makes every piece different: dimensions may vary by a few centimetres. The vase is hand-blown and shaped in Italy by the Murano master glassmakers.
