The Ritagli Venini vase belongs to the Ritagli collection, designed by Fulvio Bianconi in 1989 using a glassmaking technique devised by the designer himself: small rectangular glass strips are applied one over another onto a truncated-cone base, blown and hand-worked. The different hues meet on the surface in a composition that recalls the shapes of desert vegetation and, at the same time, the geometries of futuristic architecture.
The vase is hand-crafted in Italy by the Murano master glassmakers and numbered by year of production. The variations between each piece are part of the artisanal process and make every piece unique.
