Mathilda is a modern table in the architectural sense, in the proportional relationship between the whole and the detail. The idea is simple, perfect for the function for which it is intended: two trestles lend solidity and belonging, supporting the seat while simultaneously serving as supports for the backrest and as a stackable stand. The thoughtful and sober intuition brings the design back into the contemporary, into the possibility of evolving towards a coherent, functional and recognisable seating system.
