Doge Bonaldo Armchair with Metal Base
The Doge Bonaldo Armchair with Metal Base, designed by Mauro Lipparini, takes its inspiration from the Doge, the head of government of the historic Venetian Republic. Two flaps extending from the armrests wrap around the seat and recall the Doge's characteristic headgear, giving the armchair a distinctive and recognizable presence. References to 1970s aesthetics are combined with a contemporary language based on elegance and formal simplicity.
The metal-base version gives Doge a more modernist character: the upholstered volume is supported by a central four-spoke swivel base, visually lifting and lightening the armchair. The upholstery is available in fabric or leather and is not removable.
